The University of Kansas Hospital wins quality award

The University of Kansas Hospital, a client of Strategic Healthcare Group, has set a new standard with their “Saving Blood Saves Lives” program, according to Modern Healthcare magazine and Sodexo Health Care who awarded the program with the national Spirit of Excellence Award for Quality. For the past two years, the hospital’s blood management program has reduced blood transfusions by 29 percent and saved more than three million dollars. The national honor recognizes the University of Kansas Hospital’s dedication to improving patient quality of life and patient safety.
